Grace Greennagel // Human Souvenir

Human Souvenir is a one-woman sewing studio born during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic specializing in custom apparel, sustainable and found textiles, bespoke mending and alterations, secondhand slow fashion, embroidery, and archival of vintage patterns. Drawing its name from the act of secondhandship and the nature of found objects and thrifting, Human Souvenir finds inspiration in the imprints of owners past, and takes to heart what is left behind by a person, with a nod to the allure and absurdity in death and passing. Previously, Human Souvenir has partnered with Tropic Editions in creating a custom mu’u collection. Throughout the early stages of the pandemic, Human Souvenir offered custom-made masks with deadstock fabrics, as well as pet clothing.

The woman behind Human Souvenir is Grace Greennagel (née Cruz). Grace had spent 15 years in the service industry and management, with contributions to the likes of Morning Glass, ARVO, Aesop, Le Labo, and Owens & Co.  All the while, Grace has harbored a second-self as a singer-songwriter (Trance Plant Patience, GONDOLA) and textile enthusiast. Human Souvenir is her cathartic departure from corporate food & bev. management where she hopes to continue to develop her tailoring skills and flourish in her design endeavors.
